Hanged about in cologne/koln for another day, with some guidance from david managed to get some authentic local schnitzel, here is a pic of me riding infront of a local brau haus where we got the schnitzel in cologne

Houses in cologne pretty interesting, standard 6 level high constructs but often in nice pastel colors to break it up a bit

A quick scan of the local wireless reveals the usual german wifi network names

even the bakeries have very elite oldschool looking fonts, i liked these alot.

not to forget wierd shop names like HAIR KILLER and Dr Mullers Sex World

Got to the lego store, this was a very cool shop but wasnt kitted out as good as i had imagined, still good tho.

More colourful apartment/old general use buildings shadowed by castle looking churches.

Aachen!

Aachen is a really "nice" town, the local all dress very smart/casual and i suspect i was probably seen to be a local vagrant of some sort, most likely the worst dressed person in the town in just tshirt and jeans, but none the less, they had this really yum stuff called Printen which is like a small loaf of gingerbred with just a tiny bit of licorcise taste to it, the local town hall was built around 1130 and it was the first city to be taken from the nazi's by the allied troops (americans) in around 1944.

Lots of the usual local bakeries to which is always nice.

This town also surrounded by what used to be a town wall with the gated entry, all that remains now is not much.

And then it was back to koln/nippes doing 160km/h in a 4cyl opel
